Russia bans Japan food import

Russia has prohibited imports of food from Japan, while concerns intensify over radioactive leak from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, endangering lives of many in the region.

The head of Russia's consumer protection agency said food imports from four regions in Japan have been banned due to the life-threatening crisis that is spreading in the Asian nation.
