over 400k join London anti-cuts march

Hundreds of thousands of British opposing to the coalition government's budget cuts are marching in London streets, chanting for an alternative to the government's austerity cuts.
Tens of thousands of teachers, council staff, nurses, students, National Health Service (NHS) officials and many others who are angry at the public cut plans, mounting rates of unemployment, tax rises, pay cuts and pension reforms are partaking in the demonstration.

a peaceful protest: the inevitable aftermath

In my opinion: the UK is the United States pre-game in terms of laws & taxation,
the testing ground, as it were.... so when government imposes new restrictions there
it usually occurs here not too soon thereafter in most cases.
Therefore you can almost see it "coming down the pike".
Yet in the UK, the people have taken to the streets time & again in the last several years,
yet American resistance has been non-existent & subverted.
I believe in peace, we all just want to get over this hump & go about our business.
Unfortunately things seem to be snowballing downhill at a phenomenal rate.
