QUOTE: De Felice - medicinal innovation elimination

"One of the tragedies of our time is that over the past 20 years, a pervasive and aggressive regulating system has evolved that has effectively blocked the caring clinical innovator at nearly ever step. Let there be no doubt that we have quietly, but effectively, eliminated the Louis Pasteurs of our great country."

Airport-style screening to be considered for UK train and tube stations

"Fresh consideration is to be given to the introduction of airport-style mass security screening at mainline rail stations and across London's tube network.

The Home Office has launched a search for new and emerging technologies that are capable of rapidly screening huge numbers of passengers and which could be used in major train and tube stations and across the tube network.

The new rail and tube screening technology is to be used to detect explosives, guns and knives, being carried by people and in bags, but would also need a capacity to spot chemical and biological materials. The screening equipment needs to be able to scan wheelchairs, prosthetics, crutches, pushchairs and bikes as well as people and their luggage."

QUOTE: Nightwatchman - Raging Ryan

"Don’t mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta ‘rage’ in him, a rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment. Basically the only thing he’s not raging against is the privileged elite he’s groveling in front of for the campaign contributions."

Ecuador: Assange is the decoy, Andrea Davidson is the real target

"What do Julian Assange and Andrea Davison have in common?

Why isn’t the world media camped outside this place?

Because our government and others don’t want you to know what lies within!!

What do they  have in common…..they both become political asylum seekers in the Ecuador Embassy inLondon!!

Have you ever asked yourself why the founder of WikiLeaks always reaches the front pages of our daily and international newspapers and yet this unknown entity (Andrea Davison) has little or no coverage!!

We are all led to believe that the information that has been made available via WikiLeaks is explosive in its content and in some cases is an embarrassment to certain leaders and countries. However I do not totally agree with the intentions of Julian Assange as most of the highly sensitive information is totally out of date and no longer serves any purpose in today’s fast moving world……..I would even go a step further by saying all of this WikiLeaks garbage was a well orchestrated plan by the CIA and other intelligence agencies to make it appear to be a scoop and that Julian Assange forms part of that network.

It is clear to me however that Andrea Davison has certainly more to offer the British and international media than Julian Assange could ever dream of and it ceases to amaze me why our Zionist controlled media is not camped outside of the Ecuador Embassy in London with their satellite dishes and reporters waiting to pounce on anyone coming from within.

Andrea Davison is an ex Arms to Iraq investigator who had direct access to No10 Downing Street and more importantly should have been a “Star Witness” at the Chilcot Inquiry (Iraq Inquiry) but was never called, despite the fact that she did give evidence at the previous Scott Inquiry (held in camera).

Maybe it is time to expose this elusive lady whose knowledge could easily bring down not only the current Prime Minister and his government but also many of the past PM’s and other senior MP’s and members of the House of Lord’s……..so who is she?

I think it is better for the lady herself to describe who she is rather than for me to enter into a pile of dribble and so here are her very own words and her story with the title being: Arms Spooks and Danger dated 1st July 2010:

Dr David Kelly and Andrea Davison have several things in common both were experts on Biological Weapons and both were involved in the arms that went toIraqand WMD’s and both were whistleblowers.

Andrea was an intelligence adviser to the Trade and Industry Select Committee on Arms to Iraq and also gave evidence to Scott Inquiry into Arms to Iraq, It was her whistle blowing to the then opposition leader Niel Kinnock that revealed that the then Conservative Government were selling arms to Iraq. In December 2009 she was getting a file together to send to the Chilcot enquiry

David Kelly was allegedly ‘suicided’ in 2003 after meeting Andrew Gilligan, a BBC journalist who had spent some time writing about the war inBaghdad.. The Hutton enquiry was established to cover-up this dark deed and save Tony Blair embarrassment.

US Air Force officer Mai Pedersen’s, Dr Kelly’s friends and colleague recently wrote to the attorney general Dominic Grieve saying that Mr Kelly could not have committed suicide. Two weeks earlier Andrea Davison had written to Dominic Grieve asking him to look into the seizure of all her documents into Arms toIraq."

(commentary)
Julian Assange is a CIA asset, the real target was Andrea Davidson, whom under the Arms in Iraq investigation exposed and documented that the WMDs in Iraq were a hoax, and furthermore uncovered that the UK was supplying weapons grade nuclear material. To prove that she's indeed a threat, one only needs look towards another investigator on the case turned whistleblower, who was swiftly 'suicided': Dr. David Kelly. In short Assange was sent there to infiltrate the embassy and coax Mrs. Davidson into leaving, or worse I suppose. Ask yourself, how come the media covers up everything, yet everytime Wikileaks drops a cable it makes headlines. Why is it that Bradley Manning is rotting in jail for releasing footage of an unjust shooting yet the site he posted it on whom claims to protect its leakers is still free, there is not even a pending charge on Assange at the moment, he just skipped bail, ask John Young, the founder of Cryptome.org what he thinks of Assange, as it was he who helped co-found Wikileaks, and when he realized their true motivations he jumped ship. Assange is a former hacker (1 in 4 having worked for the government) turned informant. He was brainwashed at an early age in a home for children in Australia where the kids were given LSD and locked in closets. All the kids led to believe the head of the establishment was their mother, whom has blonde hair, subsequently they all dyed theirs to be as one with her, which is why for so long Julians hair was bleach blonde.

Mega Banks plan for collapse with contingency plans and private police force

"The biggest banks in the US have been given advisement by US regulators that they must make plans to stave off a complete financial collapse without relying on the US government. Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and other technocrats have secretly crafted worst-case scenarios in which they can continue to thrive during a full-blown domestic monetary crisis.

The Federal Reserve and the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) named Citigroup Inc., Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co. as well as others to devise “recovery plans” in 2010. Banks were directed to have schemes to remain afloat by selling off assets, finding alternative sources of funding, reducing risky measures that make a quick buck. These strategies were to be perfected with “no assumption of extraordinary support from the public sector.”

Chemical widely used in antibacterial hand soaps may impair muscle function

"Triclosan, an antibacterial chemical widely used in hand soaps and other personal-care products, hinders muscle contractions at a cellular level, slows swimming in fish and reduces muscular strength in mice, according to researchers at the University of California, Davis, and the University of Colorado. The findings appear online in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.

“Triclosan is found in virtually everyone’s home and is pervasive in the environment,” said Isaac Pessah, professor and chair of the Department of Molecular Biosciences in the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and principal investigator of the study. “These findings provide strong evidence that the chemical is of concern to both human and environmental health.”

Triclosan is commonly found in antibacterial personal-care products such as hand soaps as well as deodorants, mouthwashes, toothpaste, bedding, clothes, carpets, toys and trash bags. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in 1998 estimated that more than 1 million pounds of triclosan are produced annually in the United States, and that the chemical is detectable in waterways and aquatic organisms ranging from algae to fish to dolphins, as well as in human urine, blood and breast milk.

The investigators performed several experiments to evaluate the effects of triclosan on muscle activity, using doses similar to those that people and animals may be exposed to during everyday life.

The UC Davis research team has previously linked triclosan to other potentially harmful health effects, including disruption of reproductive hormone activity and of cell signaling in the brain.

The team also found that triclosan impairs heart and skeletal muscle contractility in living animals. Anesthetized mice had up to a 25-percent reduction in heart function measures within 20 minutes of exposure to the chemical.

“The effects of triclosan on cardiac function were really dramatic,” said Nipavan Chiamvimonvat, professor of cardiovascular medicine at UC Davis and a study co-author. “Although triclosan is not regulated as a drug, this compound acts like a potent cardiac depressant in our models.”

SONG: Judas Priest - electric eye

Judas Priest - electric eye
(lyrics)
Up here in space
Im looking down on you
My lasers trace
Everything you do

You think youve private lives
Think nothing of the kind
There is no true escape
Im watching all the time

Im made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean

Im elected electric spy
Im protected electric eye

Always in focus
You cant feel my stare
I zoom into you
You dont know Im there

I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove

Im made of metal
My circuits gleam
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean

Im elected electric spy
Im protected electric eye

Electric eye, in the sky
Feel my stare, always there
Theres nothing you can do about it
Develop and expose
I feed upon your every thought
And so my power grows

Chinese companies pull out of U.S. stock markets

"Just a few years after Chinese companies lined up to sell shares on Wall Street, a growing number are reversing course and pulling out of U.S. exchanges."

DHS orders 750 million more rounds of ammunition?

An additional 750 million rounds? On top of the 450 million recently ordered, and the 250 million not less than a year ago? That's 1,450,000,000 rounds! Many of which are hollow tips, banned by the Geneva Convention Accords from being implemented in foreign territory due to the sheer mayhem they induce on the body. As if this wasn't enough law enforcement nationwide has systematically upped the caliber to .40. Prior ammo buys used to consist of half a million rounds, the good ol' days.

U.S. Super Soldiers Of The Future Will Be Genetically Modified Transhumans

"The future of war is going to look really, really weird.  The "super soldier" research that DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) is working on right now is unlike anything we have ever seen before.  If DARPA is successful, and if the American people don't object, the soldiers of the future will be genetically modified transhumans capable of superhuman feats.  Do you want a soldier that can run faster than Usain Bolt?  DARPA is working on that.  Do you want a soldier that won't need food or sleep for days?  DARPA is working on that?  Do you want a soldier that can regrow lost limbs?  DARPA is working on that.  Do you want a soldier that can outlift Olympic weightlifters and that can communicate telepathically?  DARPA is working on that.  Americans flock to movies about superheroes and mutants, and soon they may actually have real life "superheroes" and "mutants" fighting their wars for them.  But at what cost?"

FAA documents show drones over U.S. pose huge safety risk

Drone Hunt
"The documents, received by CIR through the Freedom of Information Act, discuss at length the fact that drones do not have sophisticated collision-avoidance systems and pose more of a threat to other aircraft because their pilots are on the ground with limited visual contact.

Experienced California mechanic and pilot Mel Beckman, tells CIR that drone aircraft are problematic because pilots are required to “see and avoid,” – in other words, literally keep an eye out for other aircraft.

“There’s no way for a drone pilot to do that,” Beckman said. “He’s on the ground, and he’s looking through a small aperture. Yes, the camera can swivel a little bit, but it’s nothing like the panoramic view the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) envisioned when they expected pilots to maintain their own visual surveillance.”

“There’s a big disconnect between ground pilots and the aircraft they’re flying,” pilot Beckman said. “The regulations currently don’t accommodate that.”

(commentary)
With 30,000 drones expected to fill U.S. skies by 2020, and the fact that some college kids proved that it only takes $1,000 worth of hardware to hack these things, maybe it's time to reassess the situation? 110 potential drone bases exist on the books in the US. No time has been wasted in the implementation of these craft. A dedication:

Scientists produce Genetically Modified plants to produce pharmaceutical drugs

"For centuries, humankind has been utilizing the naturally occurring medicinal and healing compounds of plants to overcome illness and disease. But scientists just don’t seem to be happy with what nature has to offer.

Up until just a few years ago, scientists had to manually splice natural plant compounds to patent them for pharmaceutical drug companies; now, a way has been discovered to genetically modify plants which are actually programmed to produce pharmaceutical drugs instead of their natural compounds."

(commentary)
These companies have already proven they can't contain their crops. What will the future have in store for variables such as these plants cross pollinating in the wild leading to untested consequences?

Foreign cash disqualifies Romney from Presidential bid

"No other American presidential candidate has ever left the US to garner campaign contributions from foreign citizens.

There is a reason for this, one that Romney and his staff seem oblivious to and the mainstream media had ignored until just recently.

Using foreign contributions in any American election is a felony.

If you go outside the US, if you stay inside the US, if your contributor is living in the US but not a citizen, any money you get can mean years in jail.

Romney went the whole way, personally campaigning outside the US, soliciting foreign citizens, and humiliating himself and his country with his ignorance and flagrant attempts to trade illegal cash for promises of illegal war.  One could hardly break more laws if one wanted.

Romney has raised millions in foreign cash at fundraising event across Israel and London, those that we know of so far.  One table alone gave him a million in cash.  None was from American citizens.  Fewer than 10% of Romney’s contributors in Israel are estimated to be “dual citizens.” Others may have just flown the money in."

(commentary)
Ever since the field of play has been narrowed down to 2 candidates (excluding Dr. Paul who got shafted of course) I've felt as though Romney was throwing the game to hand Obama the win. Let's face it, accepting the job of head of state and being anything less than the 'Sun of Man', is a surefire bet to ensure you're the next American scapegoat, a punching bag for the citizens of this country, and the world to take their frustrations out on. This is not to stray from the fact that Obama is an invalid Unconstitutional son of a gun whom finds it fit to declare war at will minus Congressional consent. But let's face it, in essence, he's just the teleprompter puppet-in-chief. And Romney will be no different if elected, in fact out the gate I will believe he will be worse. As he didn't lie about his foreign policy regarding war in the debates such as Obama, he made no bones about it, he wants America to be the leading military power globally, and this is not far from the mormon outlook of American exceptionalism. But I digress..
Look at past presidential runners up whom didn't quite fit the bill: John McCain and John Kerry both currently mouthpieces for the 'military industrial complex'. Quite simply, running for office will get you a decent job. So there's no reason R-Money wouldn't throw the game here. This will surely have dire consequences, as like I said, out the gate Romney will be heinous, but here we are on the precipice of Obamas second term, and now he won't have that prospect looming over his head, just think, if he was willing to take it this far under the notion that his actions could possibly lead to consequences which might cost him an extended visit in the White House, then imagine what his position will be unabated. Also though both parties are one in the same, Democrats have a history of being anti-war, though with a Dumbocrat in office declaring multiple wars they will just stand by their man. If a Republican were to take office, surely a portion would oppose such measures which extend the era of perpetual warfare. Either way it's all fucked and I don't plan on voting. Gary Johnsons a step in the right direction, but lets face it, he wont earn nearly enough votes and quite personally I think he should've backed Ron Paul ages ago, as originally that's what he said he was going to do.

These devils out here lying, acting like the people ain't dying
We silver and they gold, ain't never saved a soul
Don't get caught up in no throne, don't get caught up in no throne
Don't get caught up in no throne
Signs through the earth and through the heavens, lunar, solar eclipses
We seeking for forgiveness and safety for our children
Don't get caught up in no throne, don't get caught up in no throne
Don't get caught up in no throne, Allah is in control

Lost Egyptian pyramids found by Google Earth

"A Google Earth satellite imagery survey may have found two pyramid complexes in Egypt, Discovery News reported.

The sites, which are located about 90 miles apart, contain unusual groupings of mounds with intriguing features and orientation, satellite archaeology research Angela Micol said to the Archaelogy News Network.

One site is located in Upper Egypt, just 12 miles from the city of Abu Sidhum on the Nile, and features four mounds with a larger triangular shaped plateau. The site complex is arranged in a very clear formation, and extends approximately 620 feet, three times the size of the Great Pyramid.

The second site is 90 miles north, and close to the Fayoum Oasis."

seeing through walls with a wireless router

"In the 1930s, U.S. Navy researchers stumbled upon the concept of radar when they noticed that a plane flying past a radio tower reflected radio waves. Scientists have now applied that same principle to make the first device that tracks existing Wi-Fi signals to spy on people through walls.

Wi-Fi radio signals are found in 61 percent of homes in the U.S. and 25 percent worldwide, so Karl Woodbridge and Kevin Chetty, researchers at University College London, designed their detector to use these ubiquitous signals. When a radio wave reflects off a moving object, its frequency changes—a phenomenon called the Doppler effect. Their radar prototype identifies frequency changes to detect moving objects. It’s about the size of a suitcase and contains a radio receiver composed of two antennas and a signal-processing unit. In tests, they have used it to determine a person’s location, speed and direction—even through a one-foot-thick brick wall. Because the device itself doesn’t emit any radio waves, it can’t be detected."

In a statement, the Justice Department said "the burden of proof" couldn't be met to prosecute Goldman criminally based on claims made in an extensive report prepared by a U.S. Senate panel that investigated the financial crisis."

SONG: Serj Tankian - Harikiri

Serj Tankian - Harikiri
(lyrics)
We're the day birds
Deciding to fly against the sky
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born to die

We're the greying herds

Hurting each other with our lies
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born...
Born to die
Born to die

The drum fish

They beached themselves in Harakiri
The blackbirds
They fell in thousands from the sky
Their red wings
Streaming down from the higher seas
Deflected by the ground
They crowned the sun

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
Washed by the sun

Our statues

The soaring edifice of our times
Detracted from the ways of the wise
The future will view all history as a crime
So father, tell us when is the time to rise

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free

We're the day birds

Deciding to fly against the sky
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born to die

We're the greying herds

Hurting each other with our lies
Within our dreams, we all wake up
To kiss the ones who are born...
Born to die

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)

They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
When their time was done (Their time was done)
They were drowned by the only one (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
They crowned the sun (They crowned the sun)
But I believe that they are free
And we believe that they are free
Cause I believe that they are me
Washed by the sun

red rain in India may have alien origin

"A rare shower of red rain fell for about 15 minutes in the city of Kannur, Kerala, India, early on June 28. Local residents were perturbed, but this is not the first time the state has experienced colored rain.

This strange phenomenon was first recorded in Kerala a few hours after a meteor airburst in July 2001, when a space rock exploded in the atmosphere. More than 120 such rain showers were reported that year, including yellow, green, and black ones.

Astrobiologist Godfrey Louis, pro vice-chancellor at nearby Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), has studied samples of red rainwater in 2001 and discovered strange properties, including autofluorescence—light that is naturally emitted by cell structures like mitochondria.

Scientific analysis showed the striking red coloration is due to microscopic particles resembling biological cells, possibly originating from comet fragments.

Louis believes these cells could be extra-terrestrial because existing theories already hypothesize that comets may have a hot water core with chemical nutrients able to support microbial growth."

U.S. banks told to make plans for preventing collapse

"U.S. regulators directed five of the country's biggest banks, including Bank of America Corp (BAC.N) and Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N), to develop plans for staving off collapse if they faced serious problems, emphasizing that the banks could not count on government help.

The two-year-old program, which has been largely secret until now, is in addition to the "living wills" the banks crafted to help regulators dismantle them if they actually do fail. It shows how hard regulators are working to ensure that banks have plans for worst-case scenarios and can act rationally in times of distress."

Jamie Dimon Just Admitted To The World That JPM's Assets Are Overvalued By $150 Billion

"Under the wipeout scenario JPM describes a $50 billion trading loss turning into a $200 billion loss as soon as the FDIC takes over.  Why... ? Because JPM says they would expect the FDIC to immediately writedown JPM's assets by an additional $150 billion.

Jamie Dimon just admitted to the world that JPM is mis-marking assets to the tune of $150 billion.

It gets better. Go to page 10.  The chart shows that they only have $184 billion in equity, minus the $50 billion loss, minus 'the $150 billion fdic reality adjustment', which leaves them in a negative equity position of (-$16 billion).

So, we can extrapolate that without this phantom loss of $50 billion, JPM's real equity position is just $34 billion currently, not the $184 billion on their books."

Scientist Predicts Eugenic Society in 5 Years: Gene Tests to Determine Lover's Compatibility

"It seems we may be heading into a new era of eugenics, and in the future, instead of choosing to settle with partners we love, we may be choosing them based on the compatibility of our genes, a leading scientist has warned.

Professor Armand Leroi, of Imperial College London, predicts that the ever declining cost of DNA testing means that we may be heading toward a society that is based on genetic superiority."

Cops Strip Search Mom, "Forcibly" Pull Tampon Out of Her for Maybe Rolling Through Stop Sign

"Getting pulled over for rolling through a stop sign is whack. But getting pulled over, having a gun pointed in your face, and then being strip searched on the side of the road in front of your two children for rolling through a stop sign is, well, really whack and probably an excessive use of force.

At least. that's what a new lawsuit in the Sunshine State is claiming.

Last July, Leila Tarantino claims that she was pulled over by an officer with the Citrus County Sheriff's Department. In the suit, Tarantino says she came to a full stop and should have never been pulled over in the first place.

A passing cop pulled a u-turn, flashed the lights, and rolled up behind her. Tarantino claims that the cop immediately drew his weapon, pulled her from the car, and refused to explain why he pulled her over. Tarantino's two young children watched all of this unfold from inside her car.

The cop then placed Tarantino in the back of the squad car, where she allegedly sat for two hours. When backup arrived, Tarantino was strip searched on the side of the road, where passing motorists could see everything.

Then, in a gruesome twist, a female officer "forcibly removed" a tampon from Tarantino. Presumably, the cops were looking for drugs, but the lawsuit notes that a drug-sniffing dog was never called in, and cops never found any contraband or anything illegal."

Brain in a dish flies plane

"A University of Florida scientist has created a living "brain" of cultured rat cells that now controls an F-22 fighter jet flight simulator.

Scientists say the research could lead to tiny, brain-controlled prosthetic devices and unmanned airplanes flown by living computers.

And if scientists can decipher the ground rules of how such neural networks function, the research also may result in novel computing systems that could tackle dangerous search-and-rescue jobs and perform bomb damage assessment without endangering humans."

(commentary)
"In a speech the German physicist and cyberneticist Herbert W. Franke put forward the sensational idea that in the decades to come space-ships would journey to unknown planets without astronauts aboard and search the universe for extraterrestrial intelligences. Space patrols without astronauts? Franke assumes that the electronic equipment would be operated by a brain separated from a human body. This 'solo' brain, kept in a liquid culture medium which would
have to be constantly replenished with fresh blood, would be the control centre of the spaceship. Franke thinks that the brain of an unborn child would be the most suitable for programming, because,
not being burdened with mental processes, it could be fed with the data and information necessary for the special tasks of space travel. This programmed brain would lack the consciousness that makes normal brains 'human'. Herbert W. Franke says: 'Stimulations, as we know them, would be alien to the cyborg. It would have no feelings. The human solo brain is promoted to ambassador of our planet."

What happens when our cell phones can predict our every move?

"Your cellphone knows where you’ve been. And new research shows it can take a pretty good guess at where you’re going next.

A team of British researchers has developed an algorithm that uses tracking data on people’s phones to predict where they’ll be in 24 hours. The average error: just 20 meters.

That’s far more accurate than past studies that have tried to predict people’s movements. Studies have shown that most people follow fairly consistent patterns over time, but traditional prediction algorithms have no way of accounting for breaks in the routine.

The researchers solved that problem by combining tracking data from individual participants’ phones with tracking data from their friends—i.e., other people in their mobile phonebooks. By looking at how an individual’s movements correlate with those of people they know, the team’s algorithm is able to guess when she might be headed, say, downtown for a show on a Sunday afternoon rather than staying uptown for lunch as usual."

Papa John's founder to raise price of pizza due to Obamacare

"Papa John’s warns it will have to raise the price of its pizzas due to President Obama’s health care law.

John Schnatter, CEO and founder of Papa John’s, said pizza will cost up to 14 cents more when the Affordable Care Act goes into effect in 2014.

“We’re not supportive of Obamacare, like most businesses in our industry. But our business model and unit economics are about as ideal as you can get for a food company to absorb Obamacare,” Schnatter said"

Blackwater trained Canadian soldiers without U.S. permission

"U.S. court documents reveal that members of the Canadian armed forces and police were trained for two years by the international security company formerly known as Blackwater without the permission of the U.S. State Department.

News of the training -- which occurred between 2006 and 2008 -- was revealed after U.S. federal court records pertaining to a $7.5-million settlement in a criminal lawsuit against the company were unsealed in North Carolina. The company is now called Academi LLC."

NYPD unveils crime & terror fighting 'Domain Awareness System'

"A dramatic new way to track criminals and potential terrorists was unveiled Wednesday by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly.

It melds cameras, computers and data bases capable of nabbing bad guys before they even know they’re under suspicion.

If a suspicious package is left at a location by a terrorist the NYPD will now be able to instantly tap into video feeds to look back in time to see who left it there, and that’s just one of the many things the NYPD’s new high-tech “Domain Awareness System” can do,"

Appeals Court OK's warrantless wiretapping

"The federal government may spy on Americans’ communications without warrants and without fear of being sued, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday in a decision reversing the first and only case that successfully challenged President George W. Bush’s once-secret Terrorist Surveillance Program.
“This case effectively brings to an end the plaintiffs’ ongoing attempts to hold the executive branch responsible for intercepting telephone conversations without judicial authorization,” a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote.

The case concerned a lower court decision in which two American attorneys — who were working with the now-defunct al-Haramain Islamic Foundation — were awarded more than $20,000 each in damages and their lawyers $2.5 million in legal fees after a tortured legal battle where they proved they were spied on without warrants."

Witness says 4 shooters at Sikh temple shooting

Hmmmm.... Sounds Familiar? Ahhhh, BATMAN shooters alleged Robin!:

FBI says gunman in Sikh shootings killed himself

"The FBI says Wade Michael Page, the gunman who killed six people in a rampage at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin on Sunday, died of a self-inflicted gun wound after being hit in the stomach by police.

Carlson says the gunman shot himself in the head after the second police officer responding to the scene shot him in the stomach.

She says she can't say if the police bullet, which came a very short time before he turned his gun on himself, would have been fatal."

No doubt in my mind a few of these will make it to the Middle East.
Additionally there's no doubt in my mind they'll be hovering around domestically in the US as well.
If not already....

Researchers use advanced optics and photons to see around corners and through skin

"The project involved researchers from some of the nation’s top institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University along with researchers from Rice University and the University of Wisconsin.

The researchers drew from the chaotic behavior of photons – the elementary particle, or quantum, of light and all electromagnetic radiation – in order to arrive at a method of using photons and advanced optics to actually reconstruct three-dimensional objects hidden around corners or even underneath skin."

Man orders TV through Amazon, gets assault rifle

"When D.C. resident Seth Horvitz ordered a flat-panel TV on Amazon, he didn’t expect to get a military-grade assault rifle in return.

Horvitz ordered the TV, a Westinghouse 39-inch LCD, for about $320 from a third-party electronics seller on Amazon.

On Tuesday evening, a large, oblong box arrived at his doorstep via UPS Ground.

“When I saw some metal parts inside the box, I thought, ‘Maybe this is a TV stand or mount or something,’” Horvitz said in a phone interview with Wired.

“When I realized it was an assault rifle, it was pure shock and disbelief.”

Mars 'Curiosity' & atomic energy in space

"The first Mars rover fueled with plutonium landed on the red planet Monday and there was much cheerleading by mainstream media but no mention of the huge danger the device, which NASA calls Curiosity, has posed to people and other life on Earth before getting to Mars.

Indeed, NASA in its Environmental Impact Statement for Curiosity, said that the chances had been but one-in-220 of deadly plutonium being released “overall” on the mission. If the rocket that had lofted it from Florida last year blew up on launch, and one in 100 rockets destruct on launch, that could have sent plutonium 62 miles away, as far as Orlando, said the EIS. If the rocket failed to break out of Earth’s gravity and take Curiosity on to Mars but, instead, fell back into the Earth’s atmosphere and, with Curiosity, disintegrated as it fell, a broad area of the Earth could have been impacted by plutonium."

Apple account hack raises concern about cloud storage

"In the space of one hour, my entire digital life was destroyed. First my Google account was taken over, then deleted. Next my Twitter account was compromised, and used as a platform to broadcast racist and homophobic messages. And worst of all, my AppleID account was broken into, and my hackers used it to remotely erase all of the data on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook."

"I really worry about everything going to the cloud,
I think it's going to be horrendous.
I think there are going to be a lot of horrible problems in the next 5 years."

"Password-based security mechanisms —
which can be cracked, reset and socially engineered —
no longer suffice in the era of cloud computing."

Tell me the above quote isn't surreptitiously implying the next gen proposal of internet ID?
I'm totally opposed to the cloud. A year back a brand new computer I purchased online had failed same day of arrival. The deal was superior and I hate returning stuff, so I assessed the problem and took a trip to Best Buy figuring I'd purchase the same unit and swap the parts (tisk tisk). Not only did I come to realize that the computer I had purchased was 3 months advanced to the in-stock items, but also as I understood it there was only one tower unit in the building, and it was a sub-par PC. The rest were all these slim computers which were basically a mac monitor with the computer inside the screen. Being hands-on with my machine, and having self taught my self how to fix computers, these computers defied all I required. There just so happened to be a representative from Verizon there (unsure why really). I ask him why all the PCs seem to be cloud units with no hard drive space. He then proceeds to question what my intent was with the system as if he was prying for classified information. Long story short, this cloud shit has got to go, it serves one purpose, and it has nothing to do with your convenience, but rather it's easier access to your individual files to be monitored, regulated, and restricted if they so deem it necessary.

Facebook is for moms, plain and simple. Social networks as a whole are for sociopaths.
Gotta love how they're making those who don't drink the kool-aid feel guilty, as if they have something to hide. Truthfully they do, their private thoughts, personal business, and dignity.

Al Qaeda rebels battle for Syria

"As they stood outside the commandeered government building in the town of Mohassen, it was hard to distinguish Abu Khuder's men from any other brigade in the Syrian civil war, in their combat fatigues, T-shirts and beards.

But these were not average members of the Free Syrian Army. Abu Khuder and his men fight for al-Qaida. They call themselves the ghuraba'a, or "strangers", after a famous jihadi poem celebrating Osama bin Laden's time with his followers in the Afghan mountains, and they are one of a number of jihadi organisations establishing a foothold in the east of the country now that the conflict in Syria has stretched well into its second bloody year."

How does Astrology work?

"In truth, newspaper horoscopes are nothing more than a bit of light entertainment containing generalized astrological information which has little or no practical use. Newspaper horoscopes are based solely on the sign that the Sun was in when you were born and so apply to 1/12 of the populace.

A true astrology reading is based on the date, time and place of birth, and so is unique to every single person. In addition to the Sun, the sign and house placements of all eight planets and the Moon must be taken into account along with how they connect and interact with each other. An astrologer’s job is to synthesize this vast amount of information and translate it into language that has a practical application in a person’s life.

One of the major misunderstandings is that people believe astrologers are saying the planets out there in space are somehow doing something to us and affecting our lives here on Earth. But it does not work in this cause and effect manner. In astrology, the planets are symbolic of energies that are within us, with each planet relating to a different aspect of our nature."
