Label GM foods

Despite various lawsuits and the rest of the worlds position on the matter,
genetically modified food continues to thrive unlabeled here in America.
While the European Union (EU) voted unanimously to label not only GM foods, but also nano & cloned,
American consumers are still left in the dark as to whether or not
the food they are ingesting has been scientifically configured or tampered with in a lab,
despite the fact that testing is "woefully inadequate".

In the past, Americans may have been guilty of counting sheep while vital foods were scientifically manipulated,
but society as a whole has awakened to the uncertain health risks involved with consuming tampered food.

Percentage who voted for the labeling of GM foods in the USA:
- 2003: 85%
- 2011: 96% (over 43,750 votes)
Why aren't the FDA & USDA listening to the wishes of the majority of the population, could it be profit?

why aren't GM foods labeled?
