Prisoners to manufacture military armor

The U.S. Army has handed Americas Federal Prison Industries (FPI)
a $20-million contract to build our soldiers armor.
FPI's track record is far from pristine, as formerly 44k FPI-made helmets were recalled.

Inmates typically receive about a dollar/hour,
but can make as low as 23-cents an hour for their labor,
and it seems most prisoners end up in the big house for traffic violations.
Modern day slaves.
