Shark population low in CA

off the Cali coast.
Great whites down to 219 in the area.

In the last 200 years, sharks numbers in the Mediterranean are down by 97%.

Oceanic Whitetips down by 99% since the 1950s, nearly extinct in the Gulf.
Silky shark down by 90%, Mako: 79%
North Atlantic shark down by 50% in past 15 years.
It estimates that all recorded species
known to have "declined by more than 50% in the last 8 - 15 years".

Sharks vulnerable to extinction.
