Libya: American Hypocrisy

So, in the eyes of vice president Joe Biden:
it's not OK for Bush to unconstitutionally declare war on a nation without congress consent,
but when Obama does, it's no big deal?
In Obama's own words:
"The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation."

Libyan turmoil poses no "actual or imminent threat to the nation",
or to any other but Libya itself for that matter,
therefore Ron Paul is correct in calling the action "unconstitutional":

Not only is Obama in the wrong here,
as in fact he took direct orders from a foreign legion (the United Nations).
But under Chapter 7 of the United Nations charter
Libya was no threat to international peace, therefore the UN response is illegal,
and broke precedent when it surreptitiously declared war on the country.

The real deal here is this:
- the oil reserves in Libya are the largest in Africa, & the 9th largest in the world
- many are referring to water as the new oil...
thanks to Ghadafi, Libya created the world largest water aquifer: the Great Man-Made River
- the shrinking dollar has fueled a modern day gold rush,
the IMF estimates gold holding in Libya at 144 tons (over $6-billion)
nearly 1/100 of global holdings.
Rumors & speculation have also arose as to whether or not Ghadafi was trying to put his countries economy on a gold standard, or at very least a gold-backed currency,
this would prove far too detrimental to the IMF.
