America: Nazi "safe haven"

The Department of Justice (DOJ) was recently forced to unveil
a 600-page report defining how Nazis were given a "safe haven" in the U.S. after WWII.
Many investigations have been undertaken since the 1970's
to determine the extent of the United States efforts to harbor Nazi war criminals.
Some estimate the number of individuals smuggled into the country to be short of 10k.
Many were funneled under the shadow of Operation Paperclip,
a program which sought to surreptitiously obtain Nazi scientists during and after the war
for scientific gain in the states.
One of the many mandates said to be born of this dark alliance was the use of fluoride in public water supplies, as it's widely known Hitler fluoridated the concentration camps to make prisoners docile:


This association is undoubtedly the explanation for the shape of the U.S. Naval Base at Coronado:


So not only did we fund the opposition during WWII,
but we also harbored the survivors.
