& her uterus was then removed without her consent or approval.
Rights groups claim she is one of hundreds of women that this has happened to recently under a new sterilization campaign set forth by the state.
A Japanese International Corporation Agency said this in regards to the situation:
“By 2001, 124.000 of new-borns had been examined, 2.800 children in at-risk groups had been identified; and 160 had been registered in health clinics. For genetic reasons, 1.381 pregnancies were terminated.”
The UN has had a "long standing partnership" with Uzbekistan
and a government website even said its main goal was the:
"reducing the birth of disabled children"
United Nations Population Fund is also a major contributor to USAID,
the largest institution paid for by tax dollars.
They provide IUD's, pills & injectables.
Regarding the programs training course it was said that:
"39 clients were sterilized. 88 clients have been sterilized by trained providers to date"
Documents obtained from 1993
had recommended that sterilization was needed in Central European nations.
