The Moon is Shrinking

A recent probe of the moon's surface revealed 14 new fault lines called lobate scarps

which indicate the moon is gradually shrinking in size.
Similar cracks were witnessed by Apollo photos in the early 1970's.
As the lunar interior cools, the surface contracts causing cracks.
