No Assistance

Obama issued a statement announcing that the 1,200 troops issued to secure the border
which many expected to be arriving today August 1st,
will not reach the border till late September.
Many have argued that the 1,200 troops is not nearly enough to help regardless.
Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County in Arizona initially had plead for 3,000 troops in Arizona alone
and with Arizona carrying the brunt of the current crisis,
Texas will only see 20% of troop deployment
which means 1 soldier for every 5 miles of the states 1,254 mile border with Mexico.
There's currently 1,271 government agencies, counter-terrorist,
homeland security and intelligence programs documented in the U.S
working to keep us safe,
as reported in the recent Top Secret America report.
Yet every time America has a situation which requires the governments help
(i.e. Katrina, BP, and now this)
the citizens must fend for themselves without any assistance.
