The Combating Online Infringement & Counterfeits Act
If passed the law will allow the United States government to censor whatever websites they seem fit.
The plan is similar to net neutrality in Iran & China, the difference being websites they deem inappropriate will not only be censored from the U.S. but will be completely removed from the internet.
The bill is basically the foothole the government needs to pass the CyberSecurity Act,
once they pick and choose which websites to censor who will draw the line?
Banned Books Week just came to a close, & now Big Gov seeks to not only censor the written word,
but also the digital opinions of those who oppose their laws & mandates.
In yet another move of "double think", president Obama recently declared
he vows to support a "free and open internet"
all the while assuredly crossing his fingers hoping S3804 becomes law.
We must protect the internet from any suggested restrictions.
Free speech must be protected from power mongers such as Elena Kagan
the Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, who openly speak of banning books at will,
and believe the government should make the citizens decisions for them.
