Drone Warfare

Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates considers trimming the Air Force pilot training to $135k per pilot,
a major decrease from the average $2.6 million it usually costs for an individual pilots training.
One way they believe this is possible is by increasing the amount of drones,
which are far cheaper to produce than standard aircraft and do not require pilots.
So basically the result will be more shoddy equipment with less trained pilots.

Drone attacks have hit an all-time high in Pakistan,
thus far there has been 162 reported strikes in Northwest Pakistan since 2004,
accounting for approximately 1,712 deaths.
