In yet another misstep by President Barack Hussein Obama (aka: Barry Soetoro)
the Manchurian head of state misquoted the Declaration of Independence.
In his speech presented to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI)
Obama disregarded "the creator" from his speech:
Obama's Quote:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal [pause], endowed with certain unalienable rights: life and liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Quote from the Declaration:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Either:
-it was an honest mistake
-he's not familiar with the work of our forefathers
-or purposely distinguished his disagreement with their beliefs
in a move to further stir the pot of religious turmoil as the government body & their media collabarators push the envelope of persuasion on the topic.
It must also be noted that he falsified Mexican history in the speech when he stated:
Mexico didn't exist in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was written.
The earliest recorded evidence of the American idea.
Matter of fact, Mexico didn't exist until 1821, when New Spain declared independence.
El Presidente needs to brush up on his historical knowledge.
This is all reminiscent of the time he misremembered the Constitution:
In his early 2010 State of the Union address
he confused the ideals of the Constitution with the Declaration of Independence.
Obama's Quote:
"We find unity in our incredible diversity, drawing on the promise enshrined in our Constitution: the notion that we are all created equal…."
Quote from the Declaration:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
One must also consider who's truly at fault for these misquotes,
